STRATEGIES FOR SUCCESS
Be Resilient Ready
- Tools for your students’ wellbeing
- Ideal for years 11 & 12.
Dad was a pilot, Grandad was a pilot, and my Son is a pilot. I had my pilot’s license before I could drive. Flying was all I ever wanted to do. That all changed when I woke up in ICU, not knowing if I’d ever fly again. There will come a time when life hits you so hard, that giving up on your goals and dreams seems like the only option. I know how that feels, I’ve been there! Giving up is not the best option.
I’ll share the tools that helped me navigate the toughest moments when life’s challenges brought the most painful tears.
Together, we can better equip your students to be resilient and ready for that inevitable curve ball life will throw.
Cran Brings The Fun To Guest Speaking
Career Pathways in Aviation
Aimed toward years 9 & 10 choosing a career path
There are so many opportunities for everyone in aviation, both on the ground and in the sky. There are:
- Pilots
- Maintenance engineers
- Air traffic controllers
- Operations teams
- Technical records
- Flight attendants
- Drone operators
- And so much more!
I will share some of my adventures, and inspire your students to explore an aviation career. We’ll explore the how, where, and why of choosing to work in this exciting industry.
Great advice, thank you Cran.
What is Study Smart?
For years 7 & 8 building Effective Study Techniques
With the increase in workloads that high school brings, students need to learn to study effectively. This is where Study Smart Techniques will help students starting high school. I will share my experience with the quantity of material I needed to study when becoming a pilot.
When you stack up all the hard copy manuals for the Airbus, they sit over a meter high! How on earth do pilots remember all of that? There are many methods, and it’s not about how much you study, it’s about how well you study.
You’ll hear the methods I discovered that helped me excel at the training to pilot jets airliners across the globe.

Lower Primary School STEM
Presentations for Prep, Years 1 & 2
High, Higher, Highest. Living & Non-Living, Push & Pull Forces.
With rockets fueled by compressed air and water, students explore flight dynamics, comparing forces to achieve greater height, speed, or distance. Experience the thrill of ‘Lunchtime, Launch Time’ as rockets ascend 60 meters!
Discover the first living creature to fly in space. Learn how humans utilize technology for safe space travel and adaptation.
Understand the principles of flight forces and their influence on motion. Students analyze factors affecting aerial trajectory.
Great day learning & having fun!
Middle Primary STEM
Presentations for Years 3 & 4
Sustainable Space & Flying Forces
Sustainable Space is a challenge focusing on:
- Engineering
- Sustainability
- Recycling
Students build and test a sustainable flying vehicle, applying reduce, reuse, and recycle concepts. They learn about space transport, space junk’s environmental impact, and renewable energy’s importance for future space exploration.
With the power of air, students explore forces, motion, gravity, and friction in flying vehicles. They investigate rocket science principles through fair testing and observing thrust during rocket flights. ‘Lunchtime, Launch Time’ introduces aerodynamics, flight paths, and propulsion.
STEM Learning put into practice
Upper Primary STEM
Presentations for Years 5 & 6
My Place in Space & Speedy Science
An Introduction to high school physics that delves into the scientific feats behind human moonwalks and space missions. Reflecting on technological strides and challenges such as space debris and sustainable tourism.
Immerse yourself in rocket science exploration and deepen your students’ understanding of speed and velocity. Watch curiosity soar as we transform your oval into a cutting-edge rocket launch facility, with ‘Lunchtime, Launch Time’.
Learn with water powered rockets
Basic STEM knowledge
Suitable for any year-level
Forces, Physics & Flight
Solidify your students’ basic STEM knowledge. Introduce physics principles to demonstrate how forces in motion shape daily life. Explore the effects of various forces acting on a rocket in flight, using scaled instruments to analyze forces and performance.
Enhance your students’ understanding of speed and velocity by delving into the impact of factors like speed, mass, G-force, and energy on aerospace design. Apply this knowledge to their rocket designs, experimenting with variables for optimal flight speed.
With rockets powered by compressed air and water, students explore flight dynamics, comparing forces to achieve greater height, speed, or distance.
Experience the excitement of ‘Lunchtime, Launch Time’ as rockets ascend skyward 60 meters, when we turn your oval into a rocket test facility.
Experiment with water powered rockets
Lunchtime Launch Time
high-power water-propelled rockets
Your oval becomes a Rocket Launch Facility with our high-power water-propelled rockets. This experience will be available for all your students, regardless of how many shows are booked.
You’ll have the rare opportunity to explore the excitement of aerospace, aviation, and rocket science. Our live events have Australian educators eager to ignite the curriculum with fun! Cran will provide:
- Digital resources
- Curriculum-matched activities
- Full safety and liability certificates
- Fun memorable learning experience
Fun memorable learning experience
Real World Aviation Experience
Landing a helicopter at your school!
One of the most memorable events I experienced at school, was when the local TV station landed their helicopter on our oval. Together, we can create this same exciting memory for your students when I land a helicopter on your oval.
A practical experience of aviation up close for your primary or secondary students. Students will get a better understanding of the principles of flight. They’ll experience the landing and have an opportunity to see the controls in the helicopter’s cockpit. Plus chat with the pilot to explore aviation as a career.
We take care of everything, ensuring full compliance with the Civil Aviation Safety Authority and local regulations. Well ahead of time, we provide your school with a comprehensive risk assessment and safety briefing video.
Due to landing zone size requirements and airspace restrictions in the skies above, we cannot provide this service to all schools. Give Cran a call and he will assess your school via Google Earth.
